On-site Optimization Services
Generally we perform an audit of your website to get an understanding of how your content is performing currently and what needs to be changed.
After performing an audit, we’ll have a better idea of what areas of your web pages need to be optimized. These can include the following.
The meta title and a meta description are what show up in search engine results pages. They are extremely important to getting users to click through to your site. The meta title is considered to be one of the most important ranking factors of content that you have control over. We optimize meta titles and descriptions based on keyword research and with an understanding of the customers you want to do business with.
Header tags including H1 tags
The header tags are another important element of on-site optimization. After performing research, we execute the research by adding keywords and relevant information into your header sections. Often times we will end up restructuring web pages that are not already using header tags.
This is often overlooked and is one of main issues we see. We will link pages on your website to other relevant pages on your site. This provides a map for search engine robots when they crawl your site. By interlinking pages with specific keyword phrases, we’re able to create context around what your site is all about. We’re able to tell search bots what pages are important and what we think they should be ranking for which helps influence your rankings.
By optimizing the image tags such as the title and the alt tags on your images we’re able to provide context for the pages and for the images themselves. Additionally we may add captions to your images to further emphasize their importance on the page and the role that they play in the content.
Schema is a web standard that has been adopted by Google, Facebook, Twitter and more. It’s a method of marking up content on your site to tell web platforms how to display the information. For example, if you have a brick-and-mortar location, we’ll markup your website with address and phone number data to help display that information in Google and other sites. If you sell products online, Schema markup highlights reviews, pricing, brands and other product info that can be shown in search engines.
